Higher Trewithen offers so much space to explore for families right on our doorstep. Our Children’s playground opened in Summer 2021 and has been developed with safety (and fun) in mind. Our grounds include rare breed animals and retired racehorses, and we are always looking for little helpers to give us a hand on the farm.  

You can rest assured that everything you need will be here waiting for you; from bedding and towels to cots and highchairs (highchairs & cots available on request). It is all taken care of, so you can relax and enjoy your dream Cornish holiday.  

We are in a fantastic, central spot for families wanting to explore Cornwall’s best beaches and tourist attractions. Most are within a 40-minute drive. And at the end of the day, you can return and enjoy some downtime in the courtyard and then flop into one of our luxury super king beds for a restorative nights sleep.

Being where we are, we are constantly reminded of the beauty of nature and our duty to protect our natural surrounds however we can.  

We are taking small steps to be as environmentally friendly as we can be. We hope that these small steps will help in more significant ways.

All of our cottages and apartments are dog-friendly, although we ask that you arrange this with us ahead of time.

We charge £25 per dog, per stay. We supply drinking bowls and a welcome hamper for your pooch to enjoy.

We ask that you kindly keep your pets out of the bedrooms and not allow them on the furniture if possible, or use a throw. Accidents do happen, and we ask that you clean them where possible or advise us if there are any problems. Additional cleaning charges may be required in some cases.

Please do not leave your dog(s) unattended in the properties at any time. We find that they can become distressed in unfamiliar situations, which can cause upset for them or our other guests.

We have acres of grounds for you to explore with your four-legged friends, but we do ask that you keep them on a lead at all times. We know that even the most well-behaved pup can become rather excited at their first meeting with a sheep or horse.

We also ask that you keep our grounds and the local area clean by tidying up after your dog. Should you need any additional bags during your stay, just let us know!

Fully equipped with everything you need for your stay, our seven self-catering apartments and cottages have rural WiFi, hot water via solar or timed if no sun and central heating for those cooler Cornish days.

We make your beds up ahead of your stay and supply towels too. We also give you a hand to get you started with the basics, so we provide eco-friendly washing up liquid, surface cleaner and sanitiser and a few loo rolls. For a complete list of what we include, please see our FAQS.

Should you need them, you can hire a high chair, stairgate and cot ahead of your arrival.

Please note, we have a strict non-smoking policy inside all of our accommodation, and we ask that you kindly refrain from using candles or incense as a safety precaution.
