Welcome to Higher Trewithen. A place to rest, restore and reconnect in the heart of Cornwall.
Inspired by family holidays and childhood memories, Simon and Maria Millen purchased Higher Trewithen in 2016. They now spend their time lovingly updating the grounds and properties of Higher Trewithen and are delighted to welcome you to their home and Cornwall.
About Us
The Millens
The Millens hoped to create something magical in Higher Trewithen; an eco-conscious escape for travellers wishing to explore, relax and reconnect. Their renovations are always undertaken with one eye on our natural surroundings. They strive to reduce carbon footprints, minimalise the impact on the environment, and create a haven for their animals and wildlife.

Meet Simon
Simon is an animal enthusiast and nature lover. A former volunteer for a wildlife rescue centre, Simon knows well how important it is to protect our natural surrounds. He is actively involved in marine conservation projects and is keen to bring his knowledge to his work in the gardens, pastures and woodlands around Higher Trewithen.
About Us
Meet Maria
Maria is a qualified teacher and a newly qualified yogi. Since moving to Cornwall, she has been actively involved in the community and is the Chair of the Stithians Baby and Toddler Group. The SBTG is a not-for-profit community group set up to help tackle rural isolation and provide a safe meeting place for parents, carers and children. Her plans for Trewithen include creating a yoga space and yoga retreats. Watch this space for updates!
