So the brambles had beaten us last month but now we had found our secret weapon! We found a local chap that had the most amazing attachment for his tractor that could literally smash through the brambles. In about two hours our fields seemed to double in size.  Simon was very pleased, as you can see (just).

The new website for Higher Trewithen Holiday Cottages is taking shape and we’ve been busy photographing the cottages and the grounds. It’s taking a while to get it all just right but we want to make sure it’s perfect. We hope that guests will be able to book and pay for their stay at Higher Trewithen Holiday Cottages directly from the website.

Falmouth was host to the Falmouth Oyster Festival this month. There’s a lot to see, try and buy at this festival and something for everyone, even if you don’t like oysters so it’s worth a visit. It’s also free to enter the festival. We spent the afternoon wandering round the stalls tasting the local produce which included cheese, bread, chocolate and beers, cider and wine. There’s also a large selection of local crafts available to buy from candles and face creams to art works, clothing and jewellery.
